I'm taking you around Japan!

Starting to find makeup tutorials becoming a little boring for me at the moment I wanted something new to talk about.  Lately I've been seeing a lot of people interested in asian makeup brands.  Having japanese products as well as fashion very accessible to me I thought it would be great to share this all with those that are interested.  I might as well take advantage of what I have because I'm not going to be living here forever.  So on my new journey I'm going to dedicate my time sharing new things with you.  Some things familiar to me & some not.
I'm possibly thinking about recording reviews as well as showing you the products in action.  But only time will tell as I tend to go with the flow.  Usually I make a general plan not to stick with it but to get my creative juices flowing.  One thing leads to another, just like art it just happens I don't make it happen.  I hope some of you will take this journey with me to explore.  Let me know what products you're interested in seeing (brands, types of products, etc.).

Treat your dog like a dog...

My long haired chihuahua previously owned by someone else.  But is now the newest addition to our (and when I say our I mean my husband & I) family.  Rue made a guest appearance in my 13 Questions video, soon to make many more.  I never though I was the type to own a tiny dog let alone a chihuahua.  But I couldn't say no to taking him in.  You hear so many stories about smaller dogs like how they can be such a pain & nip at peoples ankles.  Well it's safe to say that smaller dogs most likely aren't treated like larger dogs.  Which means they get away with a lot  more because their "so cute".  With their oh so cute looks you might find it hard to tell your furry friend NO.  But remember he's a dog they are animals first which means you need to be the pack leader first.

Otherwise you best believe that he/she will end up running the show or in this case your house.  It's called Small Dog Syndrome.  I know to most it sounds silly.  It's truly a syndrome that comes back to how you treat your dog.  Owners take full responsibility as to why these lap dogs can have some what of a bad name.  Not saying all small dogs are like this or that all owners don't train their dogs.  But letting a smaller dog do what larger dogs aren't allowed to do leads to this.  So you should owe it to your furry friend to help make them the best dog they can be.  It takes time & patients but it all worth it in the end.

Rue is still in need of a lot of training but he is slowly progressing.  I know all of this is new to him & he does resist commands.  Day by day I do work to help break his habits.  Punishing him for things that he was once able to do but now isn't allowed to get away with.  Of course I don't abuse him.  Punishing goes as far as telling him sternly "NO"  & putting him in TIME OUT.  He's a smart guy  I know he is but allowing him to continue his ways would only hurt him & not help him.  We love the little guy & yes he has a cute face. So we're willing to work with him as long as it takes to have him match his cute face with a great personality.

Urban Decay 15yr anniversary palette

Hello,

One of my favorite makeup brands have made it 15 years.  With that came the limited edition 24/7 eye pencil set & now their 15 never before seen limited edition eye shadow palette.  I'm in love with the packaging.  Although I do wish it didn't pick up fingerprints like it does.  The large mirror on the inside of the cover makes it convenient to take this palette on the go with you.   I wasn't fortunate enough to be able to have it sent to me directly so I did wait almost 2 weeks before receiving the product.  It made it trip back home then to me internationally.  Because of that I have been admiring the piece in it's packaging for a little while now.  I can't say how each shadow applies and where they stand on the scale but I will soon test each of them out.  Personally I wish they had less neutrals but that's coming from someone who wears bright colors on a daily & only time to time gets caught wearing "natural"  looking makeup. What do you think of the palette? What looks would/have you created with it?

Embrace your inner animal!!!

Although I wouldn't say a Zebra is my inner animal.  I did create a fun zebra eye look.  Wondering what I would do for my husband's 21st birthday I began to create different looks in my head.  Then I just thought of this look and had to do it.  I didn't actually end up wearing this look for his birthday because things got a bit hectic & I eventually ran out of time.  I went with a less time consuming look.  I'm planning to redo this look tweaking it just a bit since I didn't fully accomplish the look I had imagined.  But this is what I have so far.  What animal would you channel?

Shoe of the month: July

I skipped the month of June because there wasn't anything interesting going on in terms of shoes.  But I just posted my July shoe of the month video.  These are some good ones.  I talk about my Nike high tops & 5" 1/2" Colin Stuart Buckle Sandal color blocking heels.  So fun to wear!  The Nike's were found at a outlet store in Japan that had many US stores.  They were only $30.  As for the heels you can pick those bad boys up online at Victoria's Secret.  They have 2 other color combinations as well.  Those were a bit more but so worth it..$78.  The only thing that I have to comment on about the heels are I wish the straps had more holes to farther adjust the straps.  Especially for people with a more narrow foot/ankle it may be a bit loose.  I'm eventually going to create more holes on the straps myself.
